	Vampire Counts - Wight King In ancient times, mighty warlords fought across the land that is known as the Empire. Upon their death, these brutal warriors were buried deep beneath the ground, their tombs protected from thieves and looters by shamanistic spells. Many of these tombs are now long gone; but many others still remain. Some were built in areas where Dark Magic flows and pools. In these accursed places, the incumbents rest uneasily, their souls flickering between the world of mortals and the realm of the afterlife. When the Dark Magic grows strong, the ancient warlords rise from their crypts as Wight Kings, eyes glowing with unnatural life. The merest touch of their blade can drain the life from their foes, or slice through flesh and bone with effortless ease. 	Vampire Counts - Vampire Lord on Zombie Dragon / Terrorgeist Dragons are a proud and noble race that ruled the skies long before the coming of Chaos. However, like all mortal creatures, they will eventually succumb to old age or injury, and they will fly across entire continents to their final resting place - the Plain of Bones. It is to this inhospitable place that a Vampire will travel to claim an Undead Zombie Dragon as his mount, raising its ruined carcass from the desert sand on a pillar of Dark Magic to do his bidding. A Zombie Dragon is borne aloft by great tattered wings, its body covered with thick, withered hide. Though once it breathed fire capable of melting steel, it now belches forth a cloud of noxious gas, foetid with decay, which strips flesh from bones and corrodes armour. In death, its teeth and claws are as sharp as they were in life, able to tear a knight and his mount clean in half before feeding upon whatever's left. When such a fearsome monster is used as a steed by a powerful Vampire Lord, even the greatest heroes and sturdiest warriors fight a foe against which there can be no hope of victory. 	Vampire Counts - Covene Throne / Mortis Engine The monarchs of the night are often borne to war on gilded palanquins known as Coven Thrones. These bone-framed constructs are held aloft by the departed spirits of those slain by the Vampire and doomed to bear them into battle for eternity. Of all the Vampire bloodlines, it is the Lahmians who are famed for their use of the Coven Thrones, and as such they are often bedecked with rare artefacts and scrying pools full of the blood of innocents. Despite their luxury, these ostentatious palanquins are potent weapons - a coven of Vampires fighting as one is as formidable a prospect as any Dragon or Daemon Lord. The Mortis Engine is both a tomb and a shrine to the most powerful Necromancers to walk the world. Once dead (properly dead), the remains of these powerful wizards are enshrined within the Mortis Engine and borne to war by a host of spirits bound to the infernal device. Surrounded by wailing Banshees and pulled by Undead revenants, it is a terrifying sight to behold. Yet amidst the cacophony of Undead souls stands the Corpsemaster - the keeper of the reliquary - a source of unimaginable power. With bony hands he removes the case that holds the artefact and unleashes its power upon the battlefield. Foes wither and die in droves as the Corpsemaster allows the Mortis Engine to releases its true power, which only grows more intense as the battle reaches its gory climax. 	Vampire Counts - Tomb Banshee Many sorceresses, enchantresses and witches have plagued the Warhammer world over the centuries. The most bitter, restless spirits of these evil-hearted women become Tomb Banshees. They constantly howl in remembrance of the pleasures of life that were theirs, and in bitterness for the peace of the grave that they cannot attain. This wail can be lethal to mortals, who often break and run in terror (if they're lucky), or simply die outright, their hearts imploding within their chests when they hear the Banshee's lament.
